Help Boston Community Boating get ready for the new season by joining their Spring Work Party on Saturday, March 21, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Opening Day is just around the corner, and CBI is looking for volunteers to lend a hand with a variety of important seasonal tasks. Projects may include putting booms on Mercuries, setting up the 420 dock, unwrapping sails, and helping with a full boathouse cleanup.
No special skills are required, and all are welcome to participate. Please note that the work is physical in nature, so come prepared to pitch in.
This is also a great opportunity to learn more about the practical side of boating, including different methods of boatkeeping, seasonal maintenance, and the work that goes into preparing a community boathouse for a successful season on the water. Volunteers will get hands-on exposure to the care, organization, and upkeep that help keep a boating program running smoothly.
Volunteering at the Work Party is a great way to connect with fellow members, give back to the community, and help ensure Boston Community Boating is shipshape for Opening Day.
Coffee, snacks, and lunch will be provided.
