Leonard Robinson (SEAS 2013) served as president of the CAAB from 2019-2023. As an alumnus and former secretary of CAAB, Robinson was dedicated to preserving the organization during harrowing times, promoting the club's values of innovation, entrepreneurship, and independence. Under his leadership, the CAAB navigated several challenging years and expanded its cross-school outreach and representation. Today, Robinson remains an active member of the Columbia community as a member of the CEAA and continues to support the university's broader mission.
|John Mullervy (SEAS 2000) started volunteering in 2004 organizing the club's email list and communication. Instrumental in moving CAA of Boston (then known as Columbia University Club of New England) operations online, replacing paper forms with web pages and mobile apps. He also restarted the popular pub night series which continues several times a year, growing from a handful to a crowd every time. He served as Vice President from 2008 to 2016 and President from 2016 to 2019. John also served on the University's CAA Board from 2017 to 2023, co-chairing the Associations & Clubs Committee the final two years. He remains an active volunteer, helping maintain CAA Boston's online infrastructure and still organizing the occasional event.
|Stephen Kane (CC 1980, LAW 1983) began volunteering for Columbia in 1983 when he began a 40 year run of alumni interviewing for admissions at Columbia College. He started organizing the men’s basketball at Harvard pre-game event around 2000 and joined the CAA of Boston Board (then known as Columbia University Club of New England) in 2004. He served as President from 2008 through 2016. During his term, the Boston Club won the CAA Club Award of Excellence in 2014. He also served on the University’s CAA Board from 2010 through 2016. In 2017, Steve Kane was awarded the Columbia Alumni Medal during Commencement. Steve remains an active member of the CAA of Boston Board, still running the men’s basketball pre-game event and assisting in coordinating Columbia Professors making presentations to the Boston alumni.
