Last month, Professor Mike Massimino (SEAS 1984) spoke to about 75 alumni and guests of all ages in Cambridge about major moments in his life, from growing up in Long Island to attending Columbia to his voyage in Outer Space.
He detailed the challenges of space travel and regaled alumni with the tales of his two Space Shuttle missions to the Hubble telescope. He also spoke about America's future in space and pointed out some of his former Columbia students are now working at Space X. This event was co-sponsored by the Engineering School.
