It is with immense sadness that we share the news of the passing of Columbia Alumni Association of Boston's board member, Analisa Smith-Perez. Analisa joined our team in 2014 and has served as both our secretary and on young alumni initiatives. She was an important and active contributor to our work, helping with countless social and inter-Ivy events since joining the board.
Analisa graduated from Columbia College in 2007 and obtained a law degree from Suffolk University in 2013. She devoted her life to serving those who had little, immigrant families and non-English speaking individuals in need. She was also an active organizer for the Massachusetts Association Of Hispanic Attorneys, where she helped form community within the brightest and best legal minds who share hispanic heritage.
Her passing leaves an immense absence in our team, our community, and our hearts. We recognize that this is very sad news, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything during this time.
