Please join us on Friday, April 14 for an evening with Columbia Professor Valerie Purdie-Greenaway at the historic Union Club at 8 Park Street overlooking the Boston Common.
Professor Purdie-Greenaway, a Psychology Professor at Columbia will give a talk entitled “Inclusive Excellence Remixed: What psychological science teaches us about student achievement in STEM classrooms and beyond” that will explain what it takes to improve student performance and persistence based on her work in conducting randomized controlled trials in science-based college classrooms and PhD programs to show that small psychology nudges can transform how students achieve.
There will be a pre-talk cocktail party with free appetizers & a cash bar from 6:00pm to 7:00pm with the talk beginning at 7:00pm. Cash bar means cash - the Union Club does not accept credit/debit cards or electronic payments.
